| Anna Paquin has been a New Zealand-Canadian film and television actress for a long time. Her credits include the PianoFly Away Home and X-Men. While she didn't have any plans to be an actress, fate made it happen. Many of the opportunities she was offered following her first film's success in order to focus on her studies. Following a highly successful debut film aged 14 she was approached for roles in Jane Eyreand the Fly Away Homefilm series. The year 2000 saw her play Rogue, the formidable mutant Roguein the XMen films series. The role she played upon landed her in the limelight. She was cast in the same role as Roguein sequels such as X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. She also appeared on small screens, notably in the film Bury My Heart At Wounded Kneeforwhich she received her very first Emmy award. She was soon inundated with requests to be a part of television shows. |
